How we work
A clear division of scope
Successful retaining wall projects depend on clear responsibility between the site contractor, the wall system contractor, and the project design team. KreteWall Systems structures proposals and execution so everyone understands who owns grading, who owns the wall system, and who owns overall site design criteria.
Three parties
Responsibilities on a typical commercial package
Site contractor
- Mass grading and bulk earthwork
- Cut and fill to wall alignment and tolerances
- Site access, staging, and crane or lift coordination as agreed
- Prepared subgrade and working platform per design criteria
- Overall site sequencing with utilities and paving trades
KreteWall Systems
- Delegated wall system design and engineering coordination
- Shop drawings, submittals, and RFI support for the wall package
- Wall material supply coordination and delivery sequencing
- Precast modular wall installation and survey alignment
- Reinforced-zone installation scope as defined in our proposal
Engineer of record / geotechnical team
- Wall design criteria and performance expectations
- Surcharge assumptions and loading definitions
- Global stability and interaction with the broader site model
- Overall site design, grading intent, and drainage strategy
Why this matters
Clarity controls cost and schedule
Ambiguous scope between the site team and the wall installer is one of the fastest ways to burn contingency. When mass grading, subgrade prep, drainage stub-ups, and access are defined up front — and wall installation, reinforcement, and shop drawing responsibility are equally clear — bids are tighter, RFIs drop, and installation stays aligned with project sequencing. That is how we prefer to work with general contractors and civil primes.
